Do not stock crappie in ponds less than 10 acres in size, and only then if it has an overpopulation of large mouth bass. Otherwise, you will have only 5" crappie in 2 years and nothing else.
For forage fish, you are better off stocking mature bluegill as opposed to fatheads that will not last long before they are consumed.
If you want to grow bluegills of 1-2 lb, we have a high protein fish food available that we suggest using along with our fish feeders.
